Hello I'm Krissy Loffler,
I am raising my family in Squamish, BC where I have been growing my massage practice since 2009.
I started The Wellness Room to create a healing space for people and families to restore their bodies and minds.
Like you, I am here for the healthy mountain living and am constantly working on finding the balance between health, family and everyday joy.
All of our practitioners were hand picked for their professionalism and commitment to health and wellness. Our approach to healing is holistic in nature and personal. We invoke smells with essential oils, provide a soft, low sensory lit environment, and customize music to each individual to aid you in your decompression. It is not uncommon to hear instrumental jazz, meditation music or soft classical.
As a health care provider, it is my utmost desire to see people and families to be living the best life that they possibly can.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY MASSAGE ?
Come early and relax in our waiting room.
If it’s your first time - you’ll be filling out some paper work.
Be prepared to ask me questions: location, duration and intensity.
Don’t worry if you don’t know all the answers, I’ll lead you on the path of discovery.
GIVE YOURSELF TIME !
If you are rushing to find parking, rushing in the door, rushing to fill out paperwork, it can take 10 minutes for your body to decompress and relax. By this time, we are a quarter way through the treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR ?
What you wear to see me is irrelevant because you will be dressing down to your comfort level.
However, extra layers of clothes and jewelry will just take more time to remove. So dress simply.
And if I can ask a favour remove your mascara before treatment - it stains the face cover. Thanks!
[ TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR MASSAGE ]
1. Focus on YOUR breathing.
If you are new to Massage it’s easy to focus on me and the Massage. However this will just tighten up your body and not relax it. So breathe...
2. Talk to me. Tell me if it hurts... it should never be past a 7/10... if it is, we are both pushing against each other and there is no tissue unwinding happening.
Tell me if that’s the source of your pain and you need a bit longer. Tell me if you feel uncomfortable about anything. I’m here to help.
3. Start drinking WATER, now!
Take your weight in lbs divide by 2 = oz of water you need per day.
Yes- you drink water, but probably not enough. Your body, your mind, your energy will thank you. If you don’t like water, buy a filter and add flavour
4. Don’t exercise after!
Go for a nice walk and move your body, but nothing too vigorous.
5. Don’t just stop at me. Foam roll, stretch, heating and ice baths can be an additional approach to healing.

Pain isn't fun and I love that I get to give people release in stressful times.
I prefer to work in a slow and gentle manner and wait for tissue release.
